Billing Rates
Electric rate schedules are published monthly in the local pages of
Country Living
Magazine. These include the Farm and Home, Commercial, and Seasonal rates. They
are also available by contacting the office and requesting a copy.
Each bill includes a service availability charge. This charge is based on a cost
of service study that determines the cost of having a meter in place, regardless
of the amount of electricity used. Using a service availability charge causes consumers
who have meters at barns, water well pumps, or in other places where the usage is
low, to pay their fair share. Separating the service availability charge from the
charge for kilowatt hour usage allows the Cooperative to provide electricity at
a lower rate per kilowatt hour to residential users.
